Oilers are older and slower after these deals. Deals are fair, but don't see it helping the team to a cup. Need a puck moving d-man and a high end goalie to win in next 3 years.

McDonagh is 28 and is still a top defenceman in the league. Stay at home for Klefbom to roam. As for Patches who is 29 and is exactly the type of player Oilers need to play with McDavid. Otherwise the oldest player is Plec who is an upgrade over Letestu
