Description

Don’t think the rangers need more young forwards. That’s why I got all D. I think it’s a fair price for Nash depending on how you value Honka. Maybe even a little more since the trade deadline apparently adds a ton of value to a player. Salary is also being retained.

McDonagh is worth a lot in my opinion. But I don’t know how much Tampa will give the Rangers. I honestly think this is fair value since Koekkoek and Dotchin are already hitting mid 20’s, and it will be late picks.

These moves clear a spot for maybe Lias Anderson so get into the lineup.

Grabner could also fetch a pretty penny, but I’m not even going to attempt to do that. Comment below what you think would be a decent trade for Grabner.

Oh, and I love the Holden trade for the Rangers. Get rid of him for a 3rd and O’Gara? Solid.

I originally had it as a 3rd, but I looked at some other Nash trade and they seemed to be pretty high. Julias Honka is the wild card. I’m not super familiar with Honka, but know he’s a good prospect. I figured maybe the pick could be conditional on Nash resigning with the Stars.

Andersson is not going to play in the NHL this season, if he does he only plays 9 games. NYR GMJG already said the Andersson and Chytil will not be playing this season because he doesn't want to burn a year off either of their contracts. Just wanted you to know this.

Dallas will not give up Honka if the Rangers were able to retain his entire contract, it just wont happen. I, as a Rangers fan, would love to have him but there is no way.

McDonagh will most likely not be traded now after Holden was dealt to Boston earlier today. Unless it is for the right deal, which most likely involves Sergachev or Raddysh. Probably wont be able to get Sergachev though. Plus if McDonagh does goes to Tampa, and the Rangers do not get a cap dump back, you probably have to retain half of his salary as Tamps is tight on cap space.

Yzerman is pretty much on record saying that he's not going to move the 2018 1st round pick this year, So McDonagh isn't happening he's probably offering 2 2nds+Prospect to DET for Mike Green instead and Honka wont be moved for a rental.
