Making a couple assumptions here:

1. The pens trade for Brassard at the deadline. Sheary, Cole, and Sprong go the other way. Feel free to add any assortment of picks to either side to make it fair in your opinion.

2. Pens complete the 3peat

3. Hornqvist played too big a part for us too keep him, he gets a healthy 6+ million dollar contract for 6 years, theres always that one nut GM that overpays for the cup team UFA

Flashforward: the new season is about to start and the pens still have 7mill in cap space, and desperately need a winger. GMJR plays the market a little different this year and jumps right into the bidding war, James Neal signs a contract in which the pens will pay him only 50,000 dollars less than they pay phil. There are even bonuses if james plays well.

of course the Neal-Geno-Kessel line scores 40-40-40 goals and the pens win their 4th cup in a row
