They have young goalies so idk if grubby is a big need , but short term he is a big answer. I thought Bennet would be a stud in this league and watching him you just always expect more. I'd keep Bennet I think.

No, hard pass.

If they trade Bennett, it will not be for a goalie. They have Gillis, Rittich, and Parsons. And its not like Phillip has been having an outstanding season either.

No thanks.

People have started using "hard pass" to mean, "there is a slight difference in value, and/or this might not meet x team's immediate needs. A week ago I figured out that it meant, "there is no way I would want the team I cheer for to trade for that player because they are really bad at ice hockey."

Using it to discuss a former second line forward having an off year, as opposed to the Caps' all time leader in save percentage and goals against average...

Hmmm.... I just don't think you're putting thought into your words, here.

As a Caps fan, Grubauer is not available, and Bennett is not enough to get you Holtby. Maybe if you throw in decent pair of defensemen? But that's still not a pass on Bennett. I'm sure he'll bounce back next year, and I'm not into writing off other teams' decent players.

The meaning I was going for is, no, that is no from Calgary. Not entirely because I feel Bennett's value is higher than Grubauer, but more so because I feel this doesn't meet the biggest need the Flames have.

If you are going to trade Bennett, you NEED to make it for the greatest need organizationally. Which right now is a Top 6 RW. Perhaps Bennett isn't enough, so you package him with one of the d-men prospects like Kylington.

Flames have depth prospect at Goalie, and Defence, but next to zero RW depth.
