Description
What a horrible trade and return. This was his 1 shot to make his first positive impression and he failed. I wouldn’t hate it at all if they just fired him after the season.

It might be a hot-headed reaction but that’s just how bad this deal was. We’re going to be bad forever.

Its a rebuilding move though that could get you two 1sts and its from a team thats acquiring kane as a rental. Thorntons contract will be up too. So theyll be worse soon which will makes those picks higher and better

Also Kane really isnt worth that much, he is good, but not incredible and has a bad reputation

It’s a horrible trade that we have a 1/30 chance of it being a 1st. I do not trust this man with a hockey team

how do they get 2 firsts? they probably wont get 1.

12 more points than Nash, doubled Plekanec's production, while playing to not get hurt. Sabres got less than both those trades

Your player didn't help himself having like 3 goals in the last 20 games. History of locker room problems. He should have traded him like 2 months ago.

You need to relax there buddy. This was not a bad trade at all. Definitely would have liked to get that first rounder guaranteed but there wasn't one team that offered a first rounder. Would you rather have gotten nothing for him? O'Regan isn't a bag of pucks either, the kid can play

I am deeply disappointed with the return the Sabres received on trading dead line. Only one trade which you are correct was a give away, and several UFA still on the team.

BUT NO BODY WANTED KANE not even the Sabres. We were lucky to get what we did. I think if you look back at many posts on this site, people were trading him for a 2nd, well that is just what we got. SJS were the only team bidding and they bid low. Please do not blame Botterill for DATM mistake.

OMW do I love your chosen name, did DATM mess up the rebuild and now Botterill has to try to pick up the pieces? Yes O'Regan may turn out to be as good as Evan Rodrigues and I hope better. Maybe Kane resigns with the Sharks. I know that I will be hoping the Sharks can finally win the cup.
