Resign Hornqvist

Created by: BlacknGold4life

Initial Creation Date: Feb. 26, 2018
Published: Feb. 26, 2018
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Even better next year than this year... But set for the next 4 years. After that we are going to have 2-3 meh years might still make the playoffs but we can't afford to trade all of our draft picks in that span... Then we are going to suck. Hopefully we can rebuild quickly.

I can see and or all of Hagelin/Dumoulin/Hunwick/Maatta getting traded to get a few futures and cap space back

That is ridiculous. The only ones maybe going somewhere is Hunwick or Sheary. Maybe RFA's like Kuhnackel or Simon for a pick but later is unlikely. Great deals. Hagelin will be with us through his contract most likely. If we trade out Hunwick + Sheary we will have more cap space than we would know what to do with (hence maybe allow us to pick up guys at the deadline). But there is no reason to get rid of Maatta or Dumoulin.

If I had to trade them and this is with PGH having all the leverage I would trade:

Dumo for a top 15 OV pick + roster player + higher end prospect preferably on D.
Mattta = 1st + top d prospect + roster player
Hagelin = Top 4 rental dman or a top 6 forward
