There is another Bogosian alternative, play him. He was taken 3rd over all, he is big and can play the PP. Lastly, He was given top pairing salary by the Jets/thrashers for a reason. Maybe we just have not seen that side of him yet.
I do not want to make a big deal out of this but every other capsite GM seems to sign Nelson for about the same amount. He seems to playing much better than last year, I sort of think that he may get more than $1,000,000.
I would not want to rush Casey just yet. I read that the DATM may have rushed Nylander into Rochester and that may have hurt his growth. Remember Reinhart was sent back to the Juniors and that seemed to help his growth.
IDK why no one wants to sign Vanek. As of right now he has only one less point than EK with a salary only 40% of EK.
Aslo, I think with all of the cap space you have (even with keeping BoGo) there is room for another good LW free agent. JVR comes to my mind. Imagine JVR-Eichle-Reinhart, Vanek-ROR-Okposo. I think two pretty good top lines.
I really like your 3rd line, I just hope Dan can actually play in the NHL and is a late bloomer.
Lastly, Seth Griffith seems to be a classic pt/gm AHL and nothing in the NHL, but maybe he is a late bloomer as well.
