Bit of a tricky deal since Parise would have to waive NMC to come to Montreal but i think it's one of the best ways to maximise any return on Shea Weber while going younger.

I don't know anything about the Avs, so I don't know if Kerfoot is a good move. I like the idea of grabbing Orpick and a bunch of picks. Montreal will have plenty of cap space next year unless they actually do manage to sign Tavares, which is not terribly likely.

Drouin to Avs would be to reunite him with Mackinon with who he played in junior.
Kerfoot is a good young center in his rookie season, feels like he would fit in mtl!

Fat chance of Zach Parise leaving his hometown for Montreal, He wants to play there he's not leaving the Wild.

I agree it would be certainly be the most difficult factor to convince in making that type of deal but at the same time things have really not been good for him there, so maybe a fresh start elsewhere would tempt him?

I can see him possibly waiving for a contender, Don't see it being in Montreal he's a good ole American boy i can definitely see him staying in the States. Maybe back to the Devils possibly Vegas as well.

Liking the Avs trade. Kerfoot is a good little centre who sees the ice well and Drouin would obviously benefit from a fresh start (yes I know it's only been almost a season), and joining MacKinnon. It's probably fair value as it stands but I think most MTL fans would be p***ed. I would still expect Drouin to fetch more. Kerfoot & Girard ( a francophone puck moving left D, and drop the third pick) for Drouin & Fucale as the Habs have a bit of a gridlock of goalies and the Avs need a decent goalie prospect?

I'd do it, Fucale+Drouin for Kerfoot+Girard. I think Drouin and Mack would look so good together on the same line! I highly doubt Drouin can reach his full potential here in mtl playing center while he is a natural winger...Something MB himself admitted. Drouin was just not the player he thought he was getting.

Whilst I realise Fucale was a Habs fan as a kid, I would imagine all three were good buddies at the Mooseheads, and if the Avs keep Bernier (same home town, been through all the growing pains) he could be a perfect mentor for Fucale I would think. Not all that sure on Fucale's development at the moment but it looks a good fit with the Avs having a lot of young centres and a lot of small puck moving D in the team or coming through (I'm just wary of the team getting too small on D with Barrie, Girard, Timmins, Makar) and very little in the pipeline in goal. A couple of seasons for the Eagles where the Avs can keep a close watch on him, and bring him up occasionally and he could thrive too. Pretty sure Drouin would thrive in Colorado as you say, playing his natural position alongside MacKinnon, and the Habs get two very good young guys to start rebuilding if that's the route they're going to go. I imagine Girard would look good alongside Weber too. He's pretty smart defensively for a little guy too.
