Description

Sign and trade Nylander for Parayko, take on Bouwmeester for a 2nd (or 3rd). Uh... and STL will need some D back, so Zaitsev. Somehow Leafs get Kyrou too. Ok, that part's a bit goofy.

Net result: if Leafs get Tavares, they've an elite F that frees them up to really improve their defense.

In the 19/20 off season, will need to sign Marner and Matthews -- guessing that's around $20m total (7+12). Hainsey, Gardiner, and JayBo leaving get you $12.5m, Robidas islanding Marleau gets you to $19m. Trade one of Brown or Hyman and squeeze Kapanen on his next contract, and it all works out.

Why on earth would the Blues do that? Parayko is easily worth Nylander+1st or 2nd and then your throwing in Kyrou and Boumeester and a 2nd in the deal to acquire a turnover machine in Zaitsev and a 3rd. Keep dreaming, Laff fans.

Don't know why the Leafs do it. Two NHLers for one. And Bouwmeester is a NTC is a just unneeded cap dump. The cap doesn't really work either with those other signings either.

definitely agree with trading nylander, should have kept van riemsdyk . st louis probably wouldnt have gotten rid of parayko for nylander but probably kyrou
