    Commenting on my own roster:

To clarify, it needs 1 more LD. Hopefully Stan Bowman can land a veteran for the third pair for less than $2.3M, or get one from the Sharp trade. Sharp could fetch a third pair veteran D-man + a 2nd/3rd rd pick.

And ideally Saad/Kruger will accept less than $7.5M combined...

I deemed Bickell untradeable -> buyout.

Why that many rookie call-ups, and no attempt to re-sign Desjardins/Nordstrom/Richards/etc?

Bickell's contract blows, but a butout isn't necessarty - I'd much rather shovel a pick with him to a floor team to get the money off the books.

Anton Volchenkov fits the d spot pretty well, and is going to be cheap in FA. ALso, don't forget Mike Reilly *fingers crossed*

Desjardins will probably want more than Mashinter. I would like to keep him though. If the money is right. Nordstrom isn't worth anything. Qualify him and send him to the minors. Both guys could be useful for depth.

Volchenkov isn't a Hawks type of player at all. He actually hits. But yeah, a cheap third pair guy is needed to fill this out.

Reilly isn't even signed, and should start in Rockford anyway to get some pro experience.

I do believe Bickell needs to be bought out. I don't see how you could trade him, unless you pack him with Panarin or some other asset, or retain more than $1M. At that point it's just better to buy him out.

I dont think we would get a much of anything in return for bickell but i bet there is a team out there that could use a bigger contract to reach the floor, especially if we through in another smaller asset
