Thats against the CBA,
"If a team trades away a player and retains salary in the transaction, that team cannot reacquire the player for one calendar year after the date of the transaction"

never mind the fact the NHL would never allow that buy why would Vegas take that much dead salary for 6 years for what could have been 2 very low 1st rounds spaced out over 3 years then a couple end of the draft picks ?
