It would surprise me immensely if Riley Nash signed a one year contract. It will be at least three years at around the $4M you have and the Bruins can't/won't pay that. I don't know who will be the 3C next year but I don't think it's Nash.

Does any team pay $2.5M for a backup goalie that has a legitimate starter? I could be wrong but I doubt it.

I have a minor issues with the Kuraly and Schaller contracts being too high for fourth line. Your defensive pairings seem off. Also that Bjork isn't in the lineup but they have too many top 9 wingers, with more on the way. Sweeney has some tough decisions to make.

I'm a long time lurker on hfboards and enjoy your thoughtful a sometimes unappreciated long winded posts. I do feel your trade proposals are usually weighted to the non Bruins teams though ;-). But you're one of my favorite posters and generally like this lineup. Bruins fans have lots to be excited about for the foreseeable future.

might choose a longer deal with another team... but i think his offense is grossly inflated by marchand. if i was another team would i want to do 3x3?

boston being in a win now mold and with jfk/federic being untested at nhl... i would say boston should spend excess caproom bringing back a guy that is now proven can step up into the top line

but only a 1 year...

is it a gamble for nash to take 1x4 instead of 3x3?

if he duplicates this year he will get paid next season... and even if he fails, 4 mill sets him up for life

i could see him back at an overpayment. i think boston should do it

if cap goes to 80... so be it... but players need to approve escalator and i see very little chance of that happening when escrow is out of control

This is the day and age where points sell. If Matt Beleskey can land a 3.8M dollar contract for 5 years, Riley Nash can definitely land more for longer term. He plays a more prominent position and is having a better statistical season than Beleskey did. No chance he signs a 1Y deal. I see Kuraly getting overpaid on here a lot. I'm not seeing the production to warrant paying him anything over 1M. I would also prefer another option for the 13th forward. Bjork needs to be playing everyday. He shouldn't be wasting away on the 9th floor.

With all the injuries bruins get... their 13th forward will play regular

If nash does feel he wants longterm security... ok

Id try to talk joe thornton to come back for a shot at the cup then

Boston needs a 3rd line vet center on a 1 year deal until we get proof jfk, federic, studnicka, donato can handle the job
