The problem is that defense did not improve. Leafs need a top pairing RD to compliment Rielly.

I agree but the leafs may be better off waiting for Liljegren and co. instead of trying to trade for a RHD considering how ridiculously pricey they are. And the defense wud be better.. Lovejoy>Polak, Dermott and Zaitsev are only getting better. This team would take a solid run at the cup regardless.

I like Nylander but that is a lot for him. He might not even crack 20 goals this year..
