This isn't a terrible scenario, but it's not really needed. Why give up 2 key pieces to the Stars future for production that we can get on the Free Agent market. We have the long term cap space to lock up a guy like JVR so that solves your 2nd line scoring issue; not to mention the fact that we get Nichushkin back next season. Defensively, we don't need Jordie. All he would do is clog an already log-jammed blue line. Lehkonen would be nice, but not a necessity when we've got guys like Gurianov and Hintz ready as soon as next season, and then Caamano and Robertson shortly after that. The only one we don't necessarily have a "replacement" for is Evans out of Notre Dame, but by keeping Faksa we have one of the better 2-way, checking, centers in the game. This also allows us to potentially get Dickinson some time at 2C at some point over the next few years. His skillset does not work on the 4th line, which is where he's played the majority of his NHL career so far.
Like I said, overall this isn't a bad scenario, but there are some better options out there for Dallas that are nearly as costly.
