      Detroit might have to go the route you suggested to rid themselves of some salary. The Calgary deal seem fair. Four more years of Ericsson at 4.25m might still be unacceptable to the Leafs despite the first round pick.

      youre right i debated if that trade would work, i thought about eating some salary but to be honest if were gonna eat some salary and ship off a first it defeats the purpose and might as well keep ericsson
