Salary Cap Mode: Basic

Description

This plan is based off of Tavares re-signing at 10 mil for 8 years. If that happens I believe with a few good moves the team can make the playoffs next year and be a contender in 2 years. My moves include:

1. Sign Tavares (8 years @ 10 mil)

2. Trade Nelson for a defensemen (I targeted Sam Morin as we need a defensive minded defensemen that can play with Pulock or Leddy. While Morin won't be an immediate top 4 guy, I think he will be in 2 years).

3. Sign a #3C - I went with Bozak he can bring offence and re-ignite Ladd and help Ho-Sang make the transition.

4. Sign RFA's (Pulock, Prince, Quine, possibly Davidson)

5. Sign a 1B goalie. For this I went with Hutchinson who played very well in the AHL. Mrazek, Lehner or Hutton* are other options.

6. Re-sign Calvin de Haan. With his injury happening I think it may have hurt his value and may help the chances of him re-signing. If not this is where Davidson comes back into play.

Note: I have seen other people's vision of the Isles with Bellows in the top 9. I don't see him making the team out of camp as he is too slow right now. I think he is going to have a tough transition to the NHL.

Honestly if you can sign tavares back then you need a goalie first and foremost. Trade , buy, steal, make him weird science like in a lab idk but get a goalie.
