Tavares wont sign a 5 year deal entering his prime years, just to exit that contract on the downside of his career. Would take 7 years and 12+ to get this deal done

How are you going to trade Monahan for 1st 2nd and 3rd that what Detroit got for Tatar.... Monahan is worth way more than that. Detroit says yes and laugh at you

I mean seriously, the chances of JT signing with CGY are less than ZERO

That's true, but all those picks were spread out over 4 yrs....these are all from the same year, which is more valuable.

I still believe you can get way more for monahan tbh.... if im the habs im giving you next years 1st 2 first from this year and a 3rd thats how good he is and considering that the habs desperately need a C

Flames would be smart to get much more from MTL for Monahan. Including a Top 5 pick in the 2018 draft that could land them Brady Tkachuk.

Plus more.

Why trade Monahan? Im seeing this all over the place. The guy is solid and is on a good contract. It doesn't make sense to move him.
