i know this isnt happening this is some serious tomfoolery but wouldnt you agree that the habs would need to tank again this year instead of being in the middle of the pack ?

You can bridge him after
One full year of suzuki with caufield > Lindholm and anyone on the flames
He's younger and honestly probably as good if not better. There's no way we would need to add more IMO ( i could be wrong but that's how i feel )

I think just the 2nd for Miller + Clarkson contract would make it (still I'll pass lol) Does all habs fan have forgot about Julsenn or what ? When healty he can play on the 3rd pair and has the potential to becoming petry replacement (not offensevely but a solid top #4)</div></div>

For one trade that didn’t pan out for us how many trades have we seen where. Prospect was traded for a player and the so called prospect didn’t even play a game or more than. 1year? I mean IMO it’s a small sacrifice and I’m not sold of him but I respect your opinion so let’s just agree to disagree on that one?
Other than that what’s your take on the other trades what would you do this summer?

You honestly think MTL should go for the win now and sacrifice futur ? It work well in 2009...</div></div>
Trading away one prospect not all of them jesus way to exaggerate buddy and then what if our window isn’t now let’s wait another 4-5 years when price is 37 and Weber has a cane and can’t skate then what all of a sudden all your prospect are superstars? not all prospects pan out.... if juulsen is part of the core that’s weak at least put brook who won D of the year in the whl instead of juulsen no?

How can you be sure that he "doesn't bring anything offensevely and makes mistakes" !! The guy was 21(in october) !!!!
D Takes more time to devellop. Do you know how old was Chabot this season ? 22, like Julsenn if he would have played</div></div>
I agree with you 100% that D takes more time to develop but do you get my point? I think he could be a great shut down D but I doubt he could bring any offense.... I’ve seen him play at the world juniors in Montreal back in 2017 and he was dominant but he was nowhere near as good when he played in ahl and struggled a lot in the NHL

Jets might be listening to offers but they are not going to trade a young Ehlers AND young Roslovic for older players in Shaw and Petry. On top getting Petry and Shaw by trading Ehlers will <strong>worsen</strong> their "cap hell situation". Both Habs player make 9.4 M while Ehlers makes 6M</div></div>
As of right now the jets have a projected cap space of 25M so by taking 3.4 they still have 22.6 to sign laine,Connor, pionk (main guys)
Laine 10M let’s say
Connor 7.5
Pionk will most likely get a bridge at 2,5-3
Leaves them with 2m in cap space that’s wothout moving kulikov or other players like Perrault

Your trying to make the playoffs and all the teams around you are getting better (flyers) are making so many moves and probably will make the playoffs Columbus probably won’t who knows so it’s going to be tight and instead of having a juulsen that hasent played in almost a year I’d rather maybe overpay for a guy who can log in close to 20 without any problem and being me 30+ points a year so that’s why trading juulsen isn’t that bad of an idea he might have the potential to be good but the window to make the playoffs with Weber is literally closing so why wait and hope juulsen becomes somewhat decent when you can get a 26 year old vet that will do the job and bring some offfense as well?

I disagree I don’t think juulsen is that great he’s makes so many mistakes and brings nothing offensively... Miller can be dangerous and has an amazing clapper.... who cares about one year of clarkson on the LTIR for 2 years the habs didn’t use all their cap space pretty sure Mr.Molson can cough up the extra money for a year

Lehk for Burakovsky is reasonable but you're taking a chance with locker room chemistry as Lehk is well liked and battles hard. Also you'd hope that if the Habs were moving out 2 assets like Suzuki and a 2nd it'd be for a lefty to play with Petry.</div></div>
Your absoulutely right finally makes sense however I believe you can play 2 rhd together and the locker room chemistry true it’s a risk but you adress a need with a shooter in burakovsky

first buddy hes a natural C, projected to play the wing..... also lets compare some 60 points wingers
Mike Hoffman
Evgenii Dadonov
Vladimir Tarasenko
Timo Meier
Jakub Voracek
Joe Pavelski
Kyle Connor
Sam Reinhart
Jeff Skinner
Zach Parise
i really dont think hes going to be any close to any of these players...... so 60+plus thats laughable and very optimistic.... plus trading a "potential 60point+" player vs a established D that can score 40+points and the habs are more in a win now situation win price and Weber in their 30's.... plus there is a risk that he flops thats why you offera late 2nd as compensation....
You obviously hope to draft a guy like him for sure but there is like a 2-3year you have to wait before the young D develops into a stud.... Spurgeon is such an underated D he quick mobile and can control our PP with a mean clapper and sick hand eye coordination and you also dont even touch your current roster and add a valuable D

The way im seeing it is that you need to send a contract the other way or like you said you retain salary (50%) in that case because boston has to resign so many players (Mcavoy,Carlo,Heinen,Donato...) even with 50% retained salary i dont think it would work. Thats why i sent backes "home" because st-louis is probably one of the only team willing to take him and that he would be willing to lift his NMC...
btw thanks for your input!

your right at this point if your already paying premium why not go all in for the better player (tarasenko)
