Lindholm was our most consistent player. Would take quite a bit to obtain him

I think just the 2nd for Miller + Clarkson contract would make it (still I'll pass lol) Does all habs fan have forgot about Julsenn or what ? When healty he can play on the 3rd pair and has the potential to becoming petry replacement (not offensevely but a solid top #4)

Other than that what’s your take on the other trades what would you do this summer?</div></div>
Times to go to bed for me maybe tomorrow (with a great sleep) we could continue the talk. Agree to disagree totally ok. Also English isn't my first language so devellopping my ideas properly is a challenge ;)

Yes keep Julsenn and trade Brook (Im not sold to his potential) ! Just saying kk Poehling suzuki may be ready in 2020-2021 witch is not in 6 years ! Good night ;)

I think he could be a great shut down D but I doubt he could bring any offense.... Yes agree he wont become a Chabot but if he becomes a RHD Vlasic we would regret trading him. Like we still regret a previous trade for Gomez !

Julsenn is 22 and has played 40 games in the NHL
How can you be sure that he "doesn't bring anything offensevely and makes mistakes" !! The guy was 21(in october) !!!!
D Takes more time to devellop. Do you know how old was Chabot this season ? 22, like Julsenn if he would have played

Winnipeg declines. This doesn't make any sense. Jets might be listening to offers but they are not going to trade a young Ehlers AND young Roslovic for older players in Shaw and Petry. On top getting Petry and Shaw by trading Ehlers will <strong>worsen</strong> their "cap hell situation". Both Habs player make 9.4 M while Ehlers makes 6M

Value is fair but targets are wrong. Lehk for Burakovsky is reasonable but you're taking a chance with locker room chemistry as Lehk is well liked and battles hard. Also you'd hope that if the Habs were moving out 2 assets like Suzuki and a 2nd it'd be for a lefty to play with Petry.

The second trade isn't even considered by Montreal. Lehkonen for Hutton straight up wouldn't even be considered. Just scrap the idea completely.</div></div>
Why not? The way I see it, when Byron returns Lehkonen's spot is a puzzle. Yes he's got a good year so far but since we've got 6 3rd line forwards (lol) we can spare one for a good young LHD, don't you think? And please don't say Byron's going to be on the 4th line cause that's simply not happening, he's too good and too important to the habs.

Vancouver wouldn't have any interest in trading Hutton at the moment. While Edler has been hurt he has been playing 25-30 minutes a game and not looking out of place. And even when Edler is back their D-depth on the left side looks questionable. Trading him would leave them with 1 NHL caliber LHD, who is currently on IR.
Even if he has alternated good and bad years so far, Vancouver can't replace him. So that trade structure makes no sense for them.

Schenn
Bruins would have to decide if ridding themselves of Backes contract is worth trading those futures. Might be a fair deal. But the reality is even Schenn or anyone isn't getting the Bruins (or Leafs) out of the Atlantic division this year.

I’ve said this many times on here, but I’ll say it again. I have no problem with retaining salary and taking on cap-dumps, but Backes is a total dealbreaker. The Blues need to move forward with new voices and develop new leadership in their lockeroom. Every time a team tries to go back to something that worked in the past, it fails and blows up in their face. Bringing back Backes would be a super lame move and would hold the organization back.

His no-trade gets limited after this season, but I guess there's not even that many tanking teams just willing to take on 6m at that point. That's a tough nut to crack, but I'd rather pay more for Tarasenko or Schwartz if I have that option

What Stl payed for Schenn should have nothing to do with what the Bruins are paying for Schenn. That's just basic sunk cost.
With that said I don't think is far off from an actual trade. I don't want to pay this for Schenn, I don't think he's the player to go after, and I think he's gotten a great reputation simply by playing with better players. This is an overprice if you're asking me, so the B's will probably end up paying more :)

as far as Klingberg he's a complete D and scored 50+ multiple times before age 25 so he's legit top 50 in the NHL i'd even say top 10 or damn near close .
Slavin is to CAR what Josh Gorges was to MTL . a Mentor to Subban , a Friend to Price , a NHL leader in shot blocks while playing reliable minutes and providing some offense here and there when given the chance to make a play without sacrificing defensive positioning .Slavin's great just like Gorges was for us but in the end josh got us a 2nd round pick i believe

I think it's a lot of changes for a team that's starting to work well together, and you're bringing in mostly offensive pieces. I like Zaitsev and Edmundson as gritty, defensive additions.

The petry deal is pretty good and leafs could say yes but maybe a pick or low tier prospect to even it out.
The Habs are giving up their 2 best prospects and 2 good young players for tarasenko which is a lot but if the jabs are in a playoff position, then he could very helpful in the run on a line with domi and drouin.
Canes say no easily maybe that load minus the pick for Faulk and rask on retained cap though
Vegas trade is a cap dump which is very easily for Vegas to say yes to if not maybe the hams throw in a 7th.

I'm a habs fan too, but that haul is nowhere near good enough for Slavin, i can also see teams offering more for Senko tbh but quite close to fair value if u want my opinion. I'd love Kap on the habs but I just don't see Toronto trading him
