Description

The trade with Edonton is self explanatory. Hoffman for Nuge, & an upgrade form a 3rd to a second for taking 1 year of Burrows (to even the salary a bit).

The philly trades are a little of a different story. Tried to make the salary similar, but philly definitely gets the better players in this deal. Mostly, Ottawa wants shorter salary commitments so they can sign Duchene and/or Karlsson in 2019.
