I think you overpayed most players, so there's a bit more flexibility than that if ever Doughty lands in Toronto. With short playoff runs and underwhelming performance the kids won't get the big money. Johnsson's contract is due now, and I doubt he gets 2M right off the bat, even if he shows promises.

Zaitsev has way more value than that on the market! Mobile RHDs who can play 22 minutes and on the PK don't grow on trees, and the return would be decent. I like the idea of trading him, but he's a good step above Girardi, which is not a flattering comparison.
