      Thank you for taking the time and effort to put together a team. I appreciate the ability to review your prospective changes to the Sabres.

      A few thoughts:

      1. Guhle & Reinhart for Hanifin is not a smart move IMO. You mentioned you wanted to get faster well you just gave up a real slick quick moving the puck dman in Guhle;

      2. I am not in agreement that the Sabres should retain a total of $15 million on Okposo's deal (5 years remaining at $3 million per);

      3. The Islanders are getting a sweetheart deal for me that is an overpayment;

      4. If Kane signs in San Jose or San Jose wins the cup the pick becomes a first round pick. That is a steep price to pay for Domi;

      5. I really hope that St. Louis says yes to that deal;

      6. $4,500,000 Million for Bernier is an overpay when Bots has stated Ullmark is the #1 or he will at least be getting 50% of the games next year;

      7. I really like Riley Nash's game so lets hope that the Sabres can land him;

      I appreciate your efforts... thanks.

      this was riley nash's 5th season playing atleast 73 games. It is the first time he has scored more than 25 points. he turns 29 in a few weeks.

      I am not interested in handing him $20 million dollars for what is an outlier year.

      We have to shed these old players with bad contracts to get younger I'll overpay to do that. The only extensions that will cost money are Mittlestadt, Nylander, Dahlin. The rest of the core is locked in for years. The cap will only climb.

      Old players? Everyone you traded is 28 and younger.

      When you drastically overpay in trades you set your organization back years (see the Buffalo Bills as the prime example of that behavior). There is no magic pill that will cure the ills of this organization. You have methodically extricate yourself from the current situation. I think the GMBots is smart enough to do this the right way. The question is will he be patient enough.

      What I think this team needs to do is purge the roster of players that just do not fit or do not want to be here.

      I think we have to give a pass to Okposo as he went through a life threatening health situation. Last year was a wash. Lets see if he can regain his form in 2018/2019. If he does not you look to move him on during the off season or at the trade deadline during the 2019/2020 season. He will not be easy to move due to the high salary and his NTC.

      GMBots will not move Reinhart or Guhle they are foundational pieces for him and this organization. You can add Eichel, Risto & Mittelstadt to that group.

      Mittelstadt has be allowed patience to develop his game do not put the pressure on him this coming season. This is why I have changed my perspective on dealing ROR. I think ROR can demonstrate to Mittelstadt how to play the Center position in the NHL. Leave Mittelstadt in the #3C spot the full year.

      If you are going to trade others from the non foundational group you look to bring back prospects or draft picks. The key is not to give away your draft capital for the 2018 & 2019 draft. Those drafts will be critical to the future success of the organization.

      The other thing I think GMBot should do is take on a couple of bad contracts that expire in 18/19 maybe 19/20 but nothing past 19/20. In return pick up draft picks and or prospects.

      By the time this team is any good O'Reilly will be old and Okposo forget about it. If you want to see bottom finishers going nowhere by all means. I am ready to get younger/faster.

      Few things.
      1. Overpaying Nash. He is not worth 5 mil.
      2. St. Louis pretty much already has ROR in Brayden Schenn.
      3. Unless St. Louis is rebuilding (possible after this past year), then I dont see them trading Parayko.
      But that is just my opinion.

      That is why you can not make the trades you are suggesting or sign the players to the contracts you are suggesting...... if the Sabres want to stop being a doormat then they need to start doing things right.... the right thing to do is not to:

      1. Deal Reinhart & Guhle;
      2. Sign prospects off of their RFA or entry contracts from other teams;
      3. Retain massive salary in order to purge a player(s);
      4. Expect your younger players to assume roles they are not ready for;
      5. Deal away draft capital;

      You have done all these and more..... my only conclusion is that you are not interested in the Sabres organization developing into a better operation instead you are just trying to antagonize a fanbase that basically is at the point of saying screw it I will go cheer on the Arizona Coyotes.

      no i get it stay the course of hoping prospects become something while your core ages. should be competitive when o'reilly is 32 and eichels contract is halfway through. why build a young team with talent when we can wait and be hopeful.
