John Carlson is getting paid 7.5 - 8 mill, chances are he doesn't leave Washington

But if he wants to win a cup (most likely), the chance is not with Washington. It is with Boston.

I don't see Carlson taking less then 7, most likely no less then 7.5 and another point is Riley Nash got 42 points this season, that earns him more then 950k per, he will get 2 million on the open market

Again, Carlson has a lot more of a cup shot with Boston than Washington, so if he wants to win, Boston is the way to go for Carlson.

I don't necessarily agree, Boston had a very good year, no doubt about that, however the Backes trade would not happen and Boston taking on another huge contract while they have RFA's coming up to sign long-term (Carlo, Mccavoy, Grelysk, Debrusk) is just highly doubtful, and Carlson is not taking any 2-3 year deal, the fit just is not there imo

Not one of your signings is realistic and Sabotka is useless. Why trade McQuaid to the habs, so he can kick our butt 7 times a year trade him West and you will get a 3rd. or 4th.
