yeah true. I guess it depends on what he wants to do. His estimated career earnings is around 62 mill; he should be at the stage where he takes a sizeable pay cut (not veteran min obv) and go to a contender.

he played 69 games (nice) last season, I know his injury history is concerning but he would make a killer 3d RW and Holtz and slot right in or marinate a little longer in the A.

We were patient with the cap being at a standstill for the past 5 years, waited on buyouts to expire, waited out/traded pointless contracts for picks. Shero/Fitzgerald have said since day one to weaponize cap space and boy have they ever.... sound management from both of them, patience always wins in the end.
