Why take Plekanec over Bozak?

cheaper plus plec is one of my favorite players

also i think bozak is in the same boat as jvr where someone is going to overpay a crap load for them

Well biases aside, Bozak brings more to the table and is worth the higher investment. Bozak probably wants $3-4 range which is affordable with your layout. Plekanec is short term fill and could be 4th line C to add depth if you really want to keep him and his turtlenecks

I do agree bozak is the better player but also im trying to keep in mind next off season because mathews is getting at least 9 million and kapanen and marner would get 1 to 2 million each or marner could get more.

Considering the year (or lack their of) Dominic Moore had, and the amount he sat out, I don't see him being so eager to resign. Using that money, and perhaps your alotted Plekanec money could net us a UFA like Riley Nash, who might be a more expensive 3C option but could definitely help with grit, speed, PK time and faceoffs.
