Do you realize that if Buffalo signs William Nylander, Buffalo will have to give Toronto their First and Third round picks in the 2019 draft?

I don't think the signings are crazy, but even WITH John Carlson, and adding Dahlin....you have to keep Rasmus Ristolainen.

Risto and Dahlin will be cost controlled for the next three years, and having Carlson, Ristolainen, Dahlin, and Scandella.....well that would be one of the best top fours in the NHL. What team in the league has a better top four than that? Having that is much more valuable then shipping Ristolainen to MTL.

He traded for his rights so no he wouldn't have to he idnt offer sheeting but I doubt Toronto moves nylander for anything unless a RHD comes back you can get a lot more value for risto you can get nylander and a second for risto

five stars for trading O'Reilly
Nylander for O'Reilly straight up is a very good deal for Buffalo.
I think you may need more for Reinhart, Nylander, Tavares and Carlson
Remember the best defenseman in the Swedish Hockey League has agreed to terms with the Buffalo Sabres
Lastly, Victor Olofsson had the most goals in the Swedish Hockey League. I would like to add, 3 of top 7 players drafted last year were Swedish. There is a very good chance Victor and Lawrence (both are 22) will do very well here in the NHL
