These trades are favouring Ottawa heavily, 2 third pairing defence and a 3rd line C don’t get us Klefbom. And u might need to add more in the Grubauer trade cuz a lot of teams are gonna be trying to get him.

Yeah, I expect any Grubauer trade to be similar to the Lehner trade a few years back where it was a 1st + low end player (legwand). This time there might be more suitors for Grubauer so maybe a little more than that.

Thanks for the feedback. I think both of those favour the Sens too heavily. Hard to know whether or not the Caps like Vrana. He's obviously skilled but also doesn't get a lot of ice time. Do they not like him, or just want to make him earn it?

Similar with Kelfbom - great defenceman that I don't think the Oilers value properly, and it sounds like they're trying to trade him

Sorry, I can't get past your $$$ you're spending! You spent to the cap, and you sent down 6 million to Bellville, not to mention retaining over 300,000 of Pageau's quite reasonable contract. I don't see any of that happening.

Oh yeah, Melynk can't do this. I was wondering what the team could theoretically do if they could spend to the cap. Is it possible to turn this team around in one summer? If Ruddy and friends gave me unlimited money, could I (an idiot) build a playoff team? Very doubtful.

Honestly I don't think the team above can really do it. This almost certainly becomes an impossible situation in 2019-20.

Yeah, they definitely won't spend this much, but it would be nice if they do. I'd imagine that the Stone contract might come out to be a little cheaper at ~$7M when using Pastrnak and Gudreau as examples (adjusted a bit higher for rising cap, but also lower since those were for only 6 years), and the other ones are ballpark correct (not sure about Derick Ryan though). We probably won't sign Stastny and just try a combo of white/brown/Pageu to fight for the 2C spot. With those factored in we're closer to $72.5M which is around where we are now. I like the De Haan signing.
