Not enough for Doughty, also, with only 4 mil in cap space, the following year you would have to pay Matthews, Marner, Doughty, Bennett, Gardiner and Kapanan

With all these posts about Doughty and Tavares, I sincerely think we can only afford one of the two and still be able to fit in our contracts for the foreseeable future.

Mortaging the future just for one year of Doughty and Hamilton. When Performance Bonuses are taking into consideration for 2019/20 this cap really doesn't work for 2018/19 either.

All these trades are horrible, none of these teams accept these trades. Even the Leafs likely shy away from the Doughty one, considering he's a UFA after next season.
