I know Hayden Fleury is only 21 years old but I wouldn't call him an A prospect anymore and Darling isn't even qualified to be a backup. Raanta is a Top 5 goalie in the NHL right now and will cost a lot to acquire.

What would you want in return?

Maybe 2019 CAR 1st, Fleury, Cam Ward and another B level prospect.

How about the revision just made? Ward is a UFA so you’d need to sign him.

Anti Raanta is most certainly not a top 5 goalie in the NHL.

His best year was last year on a horrible Arizona team.

I didn't say he wasn't good. 2 of those years were as a backup, and last year he played 47 games. He had a hell of a year, but before we say he's in elite territory I'd like to see some sustainability: understand the effects that variance can have on small sample results. He was very good in GSAA too, which is why I am optimistic about him, but let's not forget that Thomas Greiss also had three good years before falling off a cliff (and many others alike).
