Description
Only change that I see is adding a top 4 D man. This free agent class has a few to choose from.
After that they have just under $5mil in cap space. Why not try to acquire their former 1st round pick; Jumbo Joe (unlikely, but why not).
The Bruins have enough depth on F and D to rest Chara and Thornton in what will most likely be their final season.
This will be a good team for a while.

You can win with depth. Shuffle the pairs if you need to. Krug is still a good Dman.

That 4th line is pretty young - probably should re-sign Timmy Schaller and slot him in. Played great this season - definitely above expectations. Seen a lot of people interested in signing De Haan - I think that's fair value. Defense looks fine to me.

You just saw Tampa stomp all over torey Krug for an entire series. You want him out there for 25 minutes a night? In the playoffs you need a good top pair. They would get swept in the first round if they found a decent team.

He's a third pairing d man that's good if you shelter his minutes. Can't do that on the top pair. Other teams top lines would roast him
