Description
NYR trade explanation:

I've always wanted Kevin Hayes because of his connection with Gaudreau. I think with his conract coming up, it's a good time to trade for him. Adam Fox is a great D prospect, entering his 3rd NCAA season. He's from New York too.

CAR trade explanation:

Lindholm has back to back 40+ point seasons with Bill Peters, and with Carolina wanting to shake up their team I could see Lindholm on the way out. Frolik had a bad year with 25 points but is still a good checking winger on an okay contract, I could also see moving Ferland instead of Frolik, but in that case the pick wouldn't be a 1st round.

NJD trade explanation:

If Brodie gets traded I hope it's to the Eastern Conference. Palmieri for Brodie is a pretty fair trade. I also wouldn't mind trying to trade for any of Gallagher (MTL) , Nylander (TOR), Simmonds (PHI) instead of Palmieri.

I like Lindholm and he checks most boxes between his age and skillset, but with the Flames already getting Hayes and Palmieri in your scenario, doesn't he become a bit redundant from a depth perspective? Especially when you're giving up a first round pick?

Fair point. Depth never hurts though, him on Janko/Bennett's line would make for some awesome bottom 6 scoring.

I don't think Lindholm would be redundant on this roster at all because he is a legit top 6 forward with a right hand shot, plus he also plays center and is really good at face offs. Good guy to pair with an inexperienced C like Jankowski.
