one of the better NYR theoreticals I have seen. Makes sense. However, I dont see the Rangers getting Steen and Shattenkirk out of Nash and Staal. I can see the Nash for Shattenkirk happening, but I think the Rangers should look for a RH shot for Staal, or trade Staal for picks, and go after Vrbata or someone of that caliber.

St Louis is as cap strapped as the Rangers. In this proposal they would be have an additional 2m next season. Do you think the Blues who have "lots" of Dman would have any interest in Staal and his never ending contract?
