Description
Zykov/Anisimov/Svechnikov would be a mean Russian line. Anisimov would be a good mentor to help both adjust to the NHL. Murphy is a cheaper replacement for Faulk on the right side. Duclair and the picks make up for the difference in value.

Wahlstrom is heading to Harvard, but maybe the hawks can convince him to play in the show? His USA NTDP numbers put Kane's to shame.

It just seems like both teams could benefit from the right move.

Carolina says no here. If Carolina give up Faulk and Rask theyre getting a first line centre and a goaltender. BTW Thanks for Darling... Maybe if it was just Toews or something to centre the top line and add picks and prospects to make up the difference. We have Necas to centre Svechnikov and Zykov. Having Anisimov just puts me ov this idea (Pun Intended)

if schmaltz improves on his face offs he is clearly a #2C so maybe not sign derek ryan, but i like the trade overall. fair value overall.

They make bad trading partners imo. Carolina is looking for a legit 1C, which Anisimov is just not even close to being. I also don't see why they would give up Rask for Anisimov or care for Murphy at all : 1) Rask is a younger, cheaper option than Anisimov, 2) they're willing to trade one of their top 4 d-men because they already have an abundance and don't need one bad (maybe a prospect, but not an NHL player).

However, I do like the Ryan signing - he's undersized but he's a good offensive option for 3C and two years is about right for his age which is older. I think the lines are a bit off if only because there is no checking line option and they desperately need one. Hinostroza on that top line is kind of odd.
