Tampa can't afford Simmonds. They have contracts for several big names coming up and will most likely have to trade Johnson etc this summer.

Damn, not even at 2 million for a season? I thought if the Cap increased they'd be able to squeeze it in

It would seem reasonable that the Flyers take Dan Girardi's contract for 1 final season to complete the deal.
