LMFAO. There’s so much wrong with this, none of it is really worth touching on. I will say one thing. Bruins won in 2011 with Thomas and won’t do it with Rask (who got them to a SCF in 13). That goalie tandem isn’t even getting you into the playoffs. LMFAOOOOOOO BROOTUL

Yuck. Most people overvalue their players.

I would like to point out you are trading a goalie who has never had a GAA over 2.56 (Rask) or a Save % Below .915% for a Guy (Markstrom) who has never never had a GAA under 2.63 and a career low save % of .912

    Career:
    Rask: .922%
    Markstrom: ..908%

    Rask: 2.26GAA
    Markstrom: 2.83GAA

If you like the advanced metrics these should frighten you:
GSAA - (Goals saved above average)
Markstrom's Best season is .12 above average . His last two years are -.84 & -2.11 Rask's worst year was .85 and his best 26.40 - coming in a 2.33 & 7.79 the last two years.

If you are bothered by Rask's play this guy would kill you.

Guess who the Finish Olympic team thought was the better goalie?

You really want them to go two straight years without a #1 pick too. In addition Rask trade would probably make this a lottery pick. I know Khoudobin had a nice year last year, but are you forgetting when he didn't win a game until Jan or February in 2016-17?

Good point on trading the 2019 1st after dealing Rask and going with Dobby/Markstrom. You basically just gave Carolina a legitimate chance at a top 5-10 overall pick with that one, since that tandem stinks of high lottery team. Anything to move Rask though!

I really don't get the Rask hate.

He isn't the best in the league, but he is top 5 IMO, but almost impossible to argue him out of the top 10. People always talk about his contract, but its' not bad compared to his peer group

Tell me who you would want more? The only guys that are legit/better value are guys on their 1st deals (Vasilevsky, Murray, Gibson)

Not in any particular order- The guys you could argue are better. I could argue most are not when factoring value.
    1) Price 10M
    2) Quick 5.8M (signed 10 year deal in 2013)
    3) Holtby 6.1M (shorter deal, will get 7m+ in two years - especially if he gets a Cup)
    4) Lunqvist 8.5m (3 years left, he is 36)
    5) Bobrovsky 7.25m
    6) Jones 5.75m*
    7) Crawford 6m
    8) Rinne 7m

I just don't get what people think is out there. Yes, every team would love to have a 22-24 year old for 2-3m - you know like the Bruins did 6 years ago. Those guys who are good, get paid. Everyone acts like there are all these other great options out there. Who? The Bruins have top 10 goalie and he is paid accordingly. The guys who are underpaid and great values, are in the exact same position Rask was in before he signed his deal (Vezina and Cup appearance).

Give me a legit option that actually makes the Bruins better.

    Gross.

Demko, Markstrom, 2018 1st for Rask, Blidh, rights to Kokhlachev....we can talk. Nucks will be 50/50 for Rask to waive NMC tho.
