Description
I know the values are probably off, but I think CHI should trade for Zucker since the Wild are starting a retool and Jenner would be a perfect fit for a third line center.

Jenner is going to get more than 3.5, and Stastny isn't looking to get paid 2 mil less per year than he just did. He may not get 7 or more again, but he isn't going to come all the way down to 5, someone (likely Winnipeg) will pay him more than that.

Winnipeg can't afford to resign Stastny.

Don't think you can positively make that claim yet. Don't know what the cap is going to be next year, and they've got about 21 in space now. Let's say it goes to 78, on the conservative end, that puts them at around 24 in space, and that can probably get away with singing Trouba and a few of the others to good contracts (assuming their agents don't ask for the sky). Granted, this would all be a lot easier had they not signed the dumpster fire that is Steve Mason, and Laine is going to cost a boatload for the 2019-2020 season, but it's still not that much of a reach for them to make it happen.

I do have to say though, I'm glad to see someone else agrees that the Hawks need Boone Jenner. He is EXACTLY the kind of piece that's been missing and would check a ton of boxes for them.
