Description

The Kings aren't a real fast team and everyone knows they desperately need more secondary scoring. Lets get some things straight tho.

- Jeff Carter wont be traded.

- Gabe Vilardi should be in the lineup opening night (95% chance).

- They'll try to add speed/ scoring in the off season via trade or free agency.

- Possible trade with the Canes that would involve Toffoli or Pearson and a pick going for Skinner.

-Free agents could be: Vanek, Perron, Grabner, JVR, Neal, or Bozak

- Doughty will sign his extension in the summer ranging around 12 million.

- Kempe will move to wing and that'll open the spot for Vilardi to play center on the third line

Most Likely Rob Blake will talk him down to 10-10.5 I doubt LA would move Toffoli and Pearson for a rental in Skinner with no assurance that he will sign an extension so If I were LA and I was trying to offer anything to the Canes it would be Center Michael Amadio since there would be no room in the lineup with his skill and a first round pick along with a conditional 4th if Skinner resigns. Dion Phaneuf will not be playing top pair minutes either top 4 or top 6 and for sure Rieder does not deserve 3.2 million if anything 2 million max. Oscar Fantenberg and Paul LaDue will be on the team next year also. Most likely Clifford will be waived

Doughty will get more than 10 million I'll promise you that. The cap is going up and players are gonna want more. Amadio and a first wouldn't be enough to get Skinner. Toffoli and Pearson both have had an under performing last two seasons so I could see them getting moved especially with Toffoli needing a contract next year. They would make sure Skinner is open to negotiating a contract extension before finalizing the deal.

Rieder needs to qualified at 2.45 million per to retain his rights.
