Lineup for Vilardi recall please comment thoughts
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ThatGuy</b></div><div>Watched Vilardi play in the Ohl. He's an absolute stud.. but has been battling injury for the last 4 years.
I would not rush him! Let him do his thing in the minors for a season or two.</div></div>
Reports are that they will recall him today, so I am assuming they want to give him a taste of the NHL. He has been playing very well as Ontario's 1C and I believe that giving him a taste will help him in the future.

No way LA will trade Petersen if anything then Campbell or Quick, however, they are high on Petersen and they are not looking at trading him any time soon.

Retool and Nylander
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Luc3</b></div><div>Are u being serious?</div></div>
He is not expressing the fact that it is probably the return for Nylander that they will never get. Even if it is including those other pieces I believe there are only two players that are for sure gonna be traded which is Muzzin and Toffoli. There was a reason that Pearson was traded and even if he was putting up at least as many points as Kopitar is this season he still would've been on his way out to create space for guys like Anderson-Dolan, Vilardi, Brickley, and Kupari. If I was Rob Blake and I was trading for Nylander I would not give Kempe up because he and Nylander were teammates back in Sweden playing for MODO of the Swedish elite league.

LA will buy or sell
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OldNYIfan</b></div><div>It seems to me that the only players who have significant value and are semi-expendable are Carter, Toffoli, Martinez and Muzzin. For what it's worth (if anyone thinks of this), Muzzin and Toffoli don't have to be protected in the expansion draft, and I don't think Blake would trade Carter, so the only "big" deal likely would involve Martinez. Then there's Clifford and Forbort, who might bring minor draft picks or a prospect of some sort. I don't think Blake will be bringing anyone in except by draft.</div></div>
I currently do not see Carter as expendable he is one of the veteran leaders that this team still has left from the cup runs.

I feel LA needs that glue type of veteran, like Iginla was in 2017. I do not know who would be a good option but I feel there is a voice missing in that locker room and maybe moving a guy like Clifford out of the lineup can be a good addition by subtraction to this team. I do not feel we should do anything with Pearson only due to the fact that he only makes 3.75 million and has the ability to score 20+ goals. Rob Blake needs to do something and I do not feel like we should be playing guys like Clifford who we know won't help the problem.

Also if the deal above goes through LA has two great goalie prospects to develop in Cal Petersen and Linus Soderstrom

I think LA would be willing to make this deal due to there track record of developing goalies. Jack Campbell is a forsure NHL backup with loads of potential left he can potentially become the next Martin Jones if that happens then I can see LA potentially moving Quick if the return is correct and for the Islanders I think they will need Anders Lee in return

LA Kings Roster (Possible Canes Trade)
Most Likely Rob Blake will talk him down to 10-10.5 I doubt LA would move Toffoli and Pearson for a rental in Skinner with no assurance that he will sign an extension so If I were LA and I was trying to offer anything to the Canes it would be Center Michael Amadio since there would be no room in the lineup with his skill and a first round pick along with a conditional 4th if Skinner resigns. Dion Phaneuf will not be playing top pair minutes either top 4 or top 6 and for sure Rieder does not deserve 3.2 million if anything 2 million max. Oscar Fantenberg and Paul LaDue will be on the team next year also. Most likely Clifford will be waived

Would this trade for OEL work? AZ fans chime in
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OilcountryGM</b></div><div>I would say Edmonton is closer to a cup then Arizona, I'm sure paying taxes or not factors into some decision making, but a chance to win should be more enticing and if that isn't enough then probably wouldn't want that player anyway if he's in it to make money.</div></div>
If you saw the Yotes record since the all-star break they were amazing if they can play like that next season then I feel they can make the playoffs over Edmonton because the Yotes are fast and Edmonton was built for the old Pacific Division and the Vegas deal is just not gonna happen William Karlsson loves it in Vegas and he is not gonna get paid 5.25x6 if anything for his point totals he deserves Draisitl money

Both of those deals are really unrealistic. I can see Chayka testing the market on Domi however OEL will not be moved he is most likely gonna be appointed captain in the near future and have to pay no taxes on his contract

If we had Carter the whole year he would have been a 30 goal scorer only way we are gonna be dumping cap is by buying out Phaneuf or Brown also Petry has an identical cap hit to Carter

So, what are the odds....
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Eli</b></div><div>I'm sorry. It looks like you misspelled "3rd."
Washington doesn't need a whole 5.5M in cap space, so the Yotes could certainly dump back up to 3M of whoever isn't in their plans (or more if it's divided among several contracts the Caps can buy out and stick in the minors for more cap relief, but Orpik is better than a lot of the Coyotes' defensemen, and can help them spend below the cap floor by an additional million, while bringing leadership, a Cup ring, and the longest active streak of years winning at least one playoff round, now at six.
Orpik's in the top forty defensemen in playoff points, currently tied with Ivan Provorov and Ian Cole for 34th, with three assists.
<a href="http://www.nhl.com/stats/player?reportType=season&seasonFrom=20172018&seasonTo=20172018&gameType=3&position=D&filter=gamesPlayed,gte,1&sort=points,goals,assists" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">http://www.nhl.com/stats/player?reportType=season&seasonFrom=20172018&seasonTo=20172018&gameType=3&position=D&filter=gamesPlayed,gte,1&sort=points,goals,assists</a>
I'm looking for insight into which of their expiring contracts the Coyotes might consider trading away next year at the deadline, and whether they're interested in taking on more Kruger-style ballast to keep them above the cap floor without necessarily paying full sticker price.
They just traded a good young player in Jordan Martinook to get a 3M AHLer in Kruger, so with all due respect.....</div></div>
That is true Chayka has made some questionable moves however if Arizona takes his contract then they should atleast also get a second round pick. The reason I think the yotes got Kruger is because I do not think Brad Richardson will not be back next season and Jordan Martinook was moved just to make room for Lawson Crouse
