I would for sure do that Arizona deal buttttt I wouldn't sign domi for that much maybe 3x3 mill but I'm not sure also I doubt Vegas trades there number one centre unless they target tavares overall good team tho

The Arizona trade looks decent.... but I’d guess that you might need to give up a first with it but that might be over the top. The Vegas trade is pointless for Vegas to make.... I don’t see them needing any dmen this offseason unless they move one of them for something better but I’m not sure. Also Karlsson is Vegas’s top center and I don’t see them trading him for anything less then a replacement or a high end dman.

Thanks. I did the Vegas trade with the thought that they are going to throwing a blank cheque at him

In that case they may take it but also may cost more nice team tho I like how you kept RNH and McDavid together

I find it very had to believe AZ would take 20 million in contracts in exchange for 10 million. If you are going after E K Larsson (sign and trade 8mill per) you can start with Drai, 2018 1st round pick, and Sekera and Caleb Jones.
And if im EDM i say no

You're one of the most active EDM fans on here. Surely you can tell that OEL for three salary dumps is ridiculous pie in the sky nonsense?

Start with Klef. Then if they aren't interested, move on and find an RHD. EDM isn't exactly hurting for lefties.

Edit:. Draisatl is in there? Was Draisatl in there a second ago? What the heck? Lol. You were telling me last week the Oilers wouldn't trade Drai for John Carlson. Please help me understand the difference?

Probably the Caps only get to trade him if his contract demands are too high for their taste, and too big for any team to sign to a seven year deal... I could see Washington considering Sekera for Orpik (one year left at 4.5M salary, 5.5 cap hit, and better than Sekera this year) to sweeten the first sign and trade in NHL history, and avoid losing Carlson for nothing. No idea what kind of cap hit Carlson gets on an eight year deal. Likely between 6 and 8M, depending on the next couple weeks.

That's a tough one because Drai is only 22 and Carlson is 28. I see what your doing with Sekera for Orpik, I think another piece has to be involved from Wash

Both of those deals are really unrealistic. I can see Chayka testing the market on Domi however OEL will not be moved he is most likely gonna be appointed captain in the near future and have to pay no taxes on his contract

Absolutely. Plus Drai had two more points this year. wink I think Edmonton has no right wings who can score goals, and could use Brett Connolly on their second line (or even to fill in on the first, if Rattie can't keep up his awesome pace at that spot this Spring). Injuries made ancient history of his 6th overall pick billing, but at 25, he's got back to back 15 goal seasons on the Caps' third and fourth lines. Could break out if he gets to play with a better setup guy than Beagle or Eller. If not, his cap hit is still cheap for his wristshot.

Or if you want Burakovsky, drop Sekera?

I would say Edmonton is closer to a cup then Arizona, Im sure paying taxes or not factors into some decision making, but chance to win should be more enticing and if that isnt enough then probably wouldnt want that player anyway if hes in it to make money.

If you saw the Yotes record since the all-star break they were amazing if they can play like that next season then I feel they can make the playoffs over Edmonton because the Yotes are fast and Edmonton was built for the old Pacific Division and the Vegas deal is just not gonna happen William Karlsson loves it in Vegas and he is not gonna get paid 5.25x6 if anything for his point totals he deserves Draisitl money
