Congrats you just mortgaged the Avs future and made the team older slower and begin to close their window before it even opened

and of course as a Montreal fan you would take 3 prime future assets from the avs to dump guys that aren't getting the job done in Montreal. What makes you think this will make them a cup contender and worth the risk?

None of these guys will turn to be as good as Weber
and Pacioretty. Ottawa's 1st is where it's at.

Oufff i never trade for Weber for sure , specialy the Avs ....the guy is a good defender but so slow could not play well in playoffs, just watch is last series against SanJose and Anaheim the yr before ...in playoffs it s more fast ,tempo is amazing because way less ad ont TV ,totally different and way faster ...and the guy is 33 with a big injury last yr ....I live in Mtl and I see him live couple of times ,he is ok in is zone but without the puck .....Pacio is really not a good leader .....and 30 yr too ...no you don’t want that believe me ....Weber and Pacio 5-7 yrs ago yes ...not now ???and the Ottawa first alone could be golden ,,,,Bowers play realy well in first yr NCAA, Timmins is realy good young RD and Shvyryov could be magic too......

thats not the point and you have no clue what a potential 1st round lottery pick will turn out to be, as well as a Timmins and Bowers. Weber is 32....Patches is 30. What would the trade 3 prime future pieces for guys in the tail end of the careers and will be regressing season by season

Montreal is screwed with their roster and pipeline, they have good but way too old of a roster in some guys, but no real youth coming into to help them transition the roster. Team needs to figure out if they want to win now or rebuild. Right now they are dead in the middle and trying to do both and it will fail.

But if you think teams are going to give the Habs all the major building block to get them out of their terrible roster build and kick start a proper rebuild. You are sadly mistaken
