Description
Ottawa'a defense has been bad for years. This is an attempt to fix it years to come.

Parayko hasn't developed into the player STL tough he would become, Ottawa is taking a chance that he will continue to improve as a Senator.

Ceci and Hoffman may seem like a high price to pay but they weren't winning with them anyways.

The Karlsson trade will give Ottawa one of the best group of Centres in the league with Draisaitl, Duchesne and JPG.

Russell can play the right side until Jaros and Dobson are ready in 3 years from now.

The Hanifan trade gives Ottawa the final piece to rebuild their D. With Draisaitl Ottawa doesn't need Logan Brown.

St Louis doesn't take that. Ceci and Hoffmann gets you a 1st and 3rd only, not Parayko as well

While I think that we need to add a bit to that trade, this is a wild take. Hoffman will easily land a prospect and a 1st from some dumb GM who needs a sniper (there's not many available). And Ceci can easily get a late 1st.
