I wouldn’t do that Edmonton trade. RNH has only played one full season his entire career and can’t carry a line by himself. Pacioretty does both those things on a regular basis. The only benefits of RNH is that he is younger but he still isn’t going to be the center we need, he wasn’t that for Edmonton, can’t expect him to be that in MTL.

The negatives: re-signing McCarron. I think he will only be a 4th line plugger and nothing more. Time to move on. You have Poehling playing the wing, when he is a stud at C, a position we sorely need. You are paying your 4th line C, $2.2 million per year? you even re-signed De La Rose and placed him at AHL level. He is a very effiecient and smart 4th line C, that costs you much lower.

The Positives: You have Danault playing 3rd line C, where he is most efficient. You have both Drouin and Glachenyuk playing on the wing and by the Grace of Almighty God, you managed to move Alzner, Schlemko, A. Shaw and Benn. For that alone you deserve season tickets to the Habs!
