One Reasonable Trade with Every Team (Part 1)

Created by: SankFeravalli
Team: 2018-19 Colorado Avalanche
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 2, 2018
Published: Jun. 2, 2018
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Find your favorite team and tell me what you think!
I’m not suggesting these will happen, but if the Avs had to make a trade with these teams, I think these make the most sense based on the needs and wants of each team.
Also, sorry about the typos!
Trades
1.
COL
  1. 2018 3rd round pick (ANA)
Additional Details:
The Ducks have 2 3rds this year. Colorado gave up a 4th to get Wilson, so they get a little extra for retaining salary.
ANA
  1. Wilson, Colin ($1,968,750 retained)
Additional Details:
Wilson struggled with injuries this past season and therefore never really carved out a role with the Avs. His physical style will fit in with Anaheim’s style of play.
2.
COL
    RFA Max Domi
Colorado was apparently calling on Domi before the deadline. The Avs are looking to add young forward talent, and he’d be a good fit.
    ARI
    1. 2018 1st round pick (COL)
    Additional Details:
Not sure if I’m a little high or a little low on return value, but I figured I’d keep it simple. This would, of course, happen at the draft and would depend on how the board fell.
    3.
    COL
    1. Miller, Kevan
    Additional Details:
I struggled a bit to find something that made sense here. I suppose if the Bruins were concerned about cap space moving forward, they could move out Miller while his value is moderately high after a pretty good season. The Avs have the space to take him as a 3rd pairing guy.
    BOS
    1. 2020 4th round pick (COL)
    Additional Details:
In my mind, this trade is a bit similar to the Colin Wilson trade the Avs made last year. A 4th rounder in a couple years should suffice.
    4.
    COL
    1. McCabe, Jake
    Additional Details:
    RFA Sam Reinhart
This one is a little less reasonable, but it was the best I could come up with, considering both teams have similar wants. The Sabres night consider moving on from these two guys and addisnt another mobile defenseman to Ristolainen and Dahlin. Not my favorite trade so far.
    5.
    COL
    1. Brouwer, Troy
    2. Gawdin, Glenn
    Additional Details:
    RFA Jon Gillies
Not only do the Avs retain money on Soderberg, but they take Brouwer’s contact as well. They get a nice haul for their generosity, with a young goaltender they desperately need, and a psospext coming off of a huge season in the WHL.
    CGY
    1. Söderberg, Carl ($2,000,000 retained)
    Additional Details:
This one is also a little bolder. Calgary was looking to add a center before the deadline, and Soderberg would be a nice for there. The Avs may have to retain some salary.
    6.
    COL
    1. Skinner, Jeff
    Additional Details:
Skinner’s goal scoring is exactly what the Avs are looking for. He would be a great fit if they can agree on a return.
    CAR
    1. Andrighetto, Sven
    2. Meloche, Nicolas
    Additional Details:
    2018 1st Round pick (#16)
Andrighetto can replace Skinner in the lineup, plus Carolina gets (another) good defense prospect in Meloche, and the Avs’ ‘18 1st rounder.

I think all of these would be very seriously considered by other teams' brass, maybe not by the Avs as much.
