Description
Quinn Hughes at 6. K'andre Miller at 30/31. Nils Lundkvist at 33. Martin Kaut 36. Kirill Marchenko at 56. Hughes plays next year at Michigan, then makes the jump for 2019-20.

Kronwall retires after this year. Next offseason we try and trade Ericsson for anything, if not then buyout. That opens up two spots, and Daley with only one more year.

Plus maybe a Jensen trade at 2018-2019 deadline.

Hughes, Hronek, Cholowski, Hicketts battle it out for those spots over the next couple of seasons.

    Yeah well they were a perennial playoff team for yearssss. Now their core is really old and retired, now its time for a rebuild. Gather as much draft picks as possible and hopefully land a franchise player

    Just as good as a team, As the one you keep making. Team is in a major rebuild missing the playoffs for another season. Isn't necessarily a bad thing.

    Yup not trying to make the playoffs. We need another top 5 or top 10 next year too. Just trying to draft, develop, and make room for younger players.

    Idk i feel like buying out Ericsson at the start of 2019-20 would be a possibility. That would be something like 1,300,000 for 2 years on the cap, not bad at all. especially if the cap keeps going up.

    They'll let contracts expire ..we're still paying for Weiss buyout ..ugh...they won't do it again unless they HAVE to ..aka..signing JT & next year e karlsson ..then they might buyout a contract out of necessity.. Otherwise they will NOT buyout anyone.. & no I don't think wings are signing them as of today

    Your probably right. I just think its possible with the rebuild and all the young crop of D we will have knocking on the door in the next 2 years.

    They'll try to trade those D ..or put them on waivers ..hoping they're claimed or if no bury the contract % in the minors til a deal is made or spot opens up..its still early.. Redwings always turn over all the stones possible

    We need hicketts and hronek to make the team out of camp. Our D corpes makes me want to drink a whole 5th.

    Just read how dumb some of these ppl posts &/or comments are..yet they claim to be hockey fans ugh..that'll make ya drink many 5th's ..Lol.. But wings wise yes KH,Tyler wright, Shawn horcoff all have stated that likely the battle will be between hicketts & hronek one making our team next season so unless we acquire a franchise stud D ..you'll get your & our wish.. Our kids are coming & will be given the chance ...even KH reiterated they have to WIN NHL jobs BUT "OVERRIPE" is dead.. Cheers bud
