18-19 Hershey Bears

Created by: theBeer_Leaguer
Team: 2018-19 Washington Capitals
Initial Creation Date: May 25, 2018
Published: Jun. 4, 2018
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Bears need more offense in their game, and better forwards. Our undrafted signings should help, as well as our younger guys coming from Europe and the CHL. Chris Bourque comes back for a season and is named captain.
I have Copley as backup next season for the caps, and he'd require waivers to come back down, so I left him off the roster. Same with Barber and Walker.
Let me know whether you guys think Jonsson-Fjallby and Geisser plays with Hershey next season or if they go back overseas for one more year.

Think Geisser is staying in Europe for 1 more year but not confirmed. Sadly, I think Pilon has to go to the WHL or NHL next season, he can't go to the AHL because of that dumb rule. Where is Samsonov? Him and Vanecek will be the tandem. Also I really hope Barber and Walker are with the Caps but if they resign Beagle and DSP there won't be much room up there.

Ya Geisser will probably go back for one more season, hopefully Jonsson-Fjallby won't.
Pilon was drafted in 2016 and is 20 years old so he'll be able to play AHL next season along with Malenstyn.
Totally forgot about Samsonov, most likely he'll be a starter in Hershey, but if he plays backup with the caps maybe they'll try to get Copley through waivers.
I think that with Walker, if he gets sent down chances are he'll make it down without being claimed, but I think Barber has more upside and could get taken if they try to send him down again. We'll see!

O thank goodness about Pilon. I made one of these HER lineups last month. I didn't publish it but they looked familiar to yours.

I'm pretty sure Fjallby is definitely over here next season. Yeah Barber would definitely be picked up by someone. Do they have to go through waivers no matter what or can they start with the Bears?

No matter what they'll have to go through waivers. If it happens before the start of the season chances are increased that they'll go through since so many teams are waiving players themselves and figuring out their lineups, so the best time to waive a guy like Walker would be between the pre-season and the start of the season.

I'm hoping Caps go young next season and have a Stephenson-Boyd-Barber 4th line with Walker as the 13th, but no way that happens if they resign Beagle and/or DSP.
