You are right! I do hate it...because I hate Douch-ene! I think he is the biggest waste of talent and the biggest ego in the NHL...neither are traits I want on the Wild.

The Wild need a little edge to them...Too cookie-cutter right now. They need speed down the middle with play-making ability. And to the 7 year bit, absolutely, he is still in his prime and has been very durable through his career. Staal has one year left and Koivu is no higher than a 3rd line center, so they need to solidify down the middle.

Clarifying here - do you consider Duchene as a player with "a little edge"?

Edge may not be the best word, but they need some flare, swagger in the locker room, shake up the dynamic the team is shaped around.

I agree with all of that...100%. However, that still doesn't change my opinion about Duchene...I want absolutely nothing to do with him!
