I like it. I'm not familiar with your long-term cap situation and if these signings will make things difficult down the road...but I definitely think the Avs should be players for some big UFA's this summer.

I like some of these moves, it looks fun but I hate ceci so much, I would be pissed to have him on this team at the expense of EJ and a 2nd round pick. thats a gut punch for me bc I think Ceci is terrible

Cancel that E. Johnson trade and this looks great. A healthy EJ is better than a healthy Ceci. No reason to launch a 2nd round pick, plus pick up $1.5M in retained salary for a lesser player.

I also suspect Bernier might leave this summer to another team where he could get a slightly larger role. That said, your $3.5M projection for his salary is spot on.

I agree with all of this. I do laugh at the idea of EJ getting reunited with Duchene though, after all the comments EJ made about "guys wanting to be here", etc.
