Offense is nuts, I think Petry would get eaten alive as a 1LD, since he's a career 2RD

I agree, as a Habs fan, i would jump for joy if you traded that too us, but i think that they would still miss the playoffs since there D-core is still lacking. I would sigh John Carlson with the money for Tavares instead, not as much of course but you get what you need and more cap space to get another second line center, but great team overall

He can hold his own, he wasn't too bad near the end of the season, but when he was paired with Alzner... That's was probably the worst first pairing defencemen in the league. Petry is pretty mature, he won't dominate the ice or push the offence, but he plays a simple supporting role, has a mean shot, good pass, fairly good defence.

I like the Montreal trade, but only really cause you think Petry is the best defence we have. He also has a NTC, not sure if Oilers are one of those teams. That Winnipeg trade is fairly good, however.

Yikes, the Defense is non-exhistent. Y’know the offense is a bit better than before and the D somehow is 3 times worse.
