THIS IS JUST A RUMOR, TAKE IT WITH A GRAIN OF SALT. I MADE THIS JUST TO SEE HOW IT WOULD WORK.

LA clearly needs to trade away some salary if they want to make it work. Could see Carter going if Tavares takes 2C. Or trade away 1 of Toffoli/Pearson (most likely toffoli). Its all speculation. How much the cap rises also has an effect on LA's ability to sign this deal.

We also must remember doughty is in need of a major extension next season too... Someone will have to leave if Tavares comes in.

I doubt it happens but who knows ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Ha Ha don't see LA being serious contenders any time soon, Toronto his home area makes tons of sense there's better playoff teams out there other then LA that JT should consider. LA is heading more towards a retool then a championship.

Big isles fan here but if he goes to LA that’d be cool. If he leaves I just don’t want him in the east ?‍♂️

Kings fan here. I think he is staying with the Isles. Would love him here but he is not their first choice, NY is.

As much as I would love to see JT in a Kings jersey, I just can't believe we'd be able to have 30 million or more of our cap tied up between 3 guys

If Tavares decided LAK was the team he wanted to go to, I'd like Tavares a little less. No disrespect to LAK at all either.

Team already has a true #1 center.
Goes to a team that hasn't competed for a cup in a while.
Goes to play in modest obscurity.

So basically he's going to a team where he doesn't need to be a #1: Less pressure.
Wants to go to a tam that can win a cup: Not sure LAK's are that team.
Has a chance to go play for a good team, who will pay him big bucks and not be the #1 center and choses not to: Toronto.

It would pretty much mean Tavares wants to play out the rest of his career making big bucks in a nice warm climate where no one would bother him.

Of course this is just my opinion if he chose to go to LAK.
