I'm ok with the trade I suppose... I am not ok with the UFA's we signed with Phil's money - Makes us older and slower

just depth guys. don't forget the penguins won two cups with 40 year old matt cullen. kunitz is still a good role player, vermette is amazing on faceoffs, and solid Pker, and a better 5th C option than rowney. pens aren't giving up that much speed

I'm not sure if both Kessel's and Seguin's massive heads would be able to fit in the same locker room...

Don't sign Vermette or Kunitz, and only hold 1 backup at forward and defense.. then re-evaluate your cap space. Could probably get a very effective, fast LW (Grabner?) over the aging slow players you have here

Kunitz and Cole are not coming back. Kunitz had personal issues that made him leave after last season if you follow Pittsburgh news. Cole doesn't get along with Sullivan and is a left handed D man, they'd prefer to have a righty to round out the bottom pair, which is why Hunwick sat over Ruhwedel.

Also, none of the AHL guys will sign for more than 2 years. Rust and Sheahan will get offered more as well.

never know. they're both pretty similar in the fact that they've both been outcasts on their former teams. they could bond and mesh well
